What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Browser localStorage is similar — it stores key-value pairs locally on your device. Neither leaves your device unless the website explicitly sends the data back to a server.
Cookies we use on minyut.com
The Minyut dashboard sets one category of cookie: an authentication session cookie managed by Supabase Auth.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-[project]-auth-token | Keeps you logged in to the dashboard. Set by Supabase Auth. Without it, you cannot use the service. | Strictly necessary | Session / token expiry |
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking pixels on the Minyut dashboard or marketing pages.
localStorage (browser storage)
In addition to cookies, the Minyut dashboard stores a small number of preference flags in your browser's localStorage. These are never sent to our servers — they exist solely to improve your experience across page loads.
| Key | Purpose | Data stored |
|---|---|---|
| nestled_sidebar_collapsed | Remembers whether you collapsed the sidebar | Boolean (0 or 1) |
| nestled_ob_done_[id] | Remembers that you dismissed the setup guide for a chatbot | Boolean (1) |
| nestled_ob_copied_[id] | Remembers that you copied your embed code | Boolean (1) |
| minyut_cookie_ok | Remembers that you dismissed this cookie notice | Boolean (1) |
Widget (embedded on your website)
The Minyut chat widget you embed on your own website does not set any cookies or write to localStorage on your visitors' browsers. It renders entirely inside a Shadow DOM and communicates only with Minyut's API to answer questions. Your visitors are not tracked, fingerprinted, or profiled in any way by the widget.
How to manage or delete cookies
You can clear cookies and localStorage at any time from your browser settings. Clearing the auth cookie will log you out of Minyut. Clearing localStorage will reset UI preferences but will not affect your account or data.
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
